About getintojazz.com
getintojazz.com is a brand new web site development geographically based in the Greater Manchester region and directed by Manchester Jazz Festival (mjf). The basic idea was refined and developed following the National conference, 'How to develop jazz audiences. Or die,' commissioned by JazzDev, researched by Morris Hargreaves McIntyre, and hosted by mjf.

The aim is to complement the existing National website developed and hosted by Jazz Services. getintojazz.com aims to bring together artists, promoters, venues, educators and audiences by providing a virtual forum for discussion, information concerning all aspects of jazz activity, and a directory of relevant resources on a regional level. This twelve month pilot project will monitor and evaluate the site's growth and relevance.

It is hoped that the site will organically evolve to best serve the jazz community. The pilot site focuses on the Greater Manchester region, but eventually getintojazz.com aims to serve a much broader Northwest audience and clientele.

The new audiences of getintojazz.com will be developed and monitored by Morris Hargreaves McIntyre consultants, culminating in a report and presentation.
